Congratulations Anna Caputo for award!

The mission of Horses for Mental Health is to amplify awareness of the power of horses for mental health through sharing the stories of lives being changed through the incredible programs providing these services.

As part of the annual Seen Through Horses campaign, HMH has produced videos, including utilizing animation, to help share these stories.  

Utilizing animation was one of those bold ideas to see if we could effectively communicate what the horses uniquely bring to these processes, protect client confidentiality, and still evoke the emotions that these life-changing experiences held, all in 3 minutes.

We appreciate the support of campaign title sponsor Zoetis, and co-producers Arenas for Change (ARCH) and Equine Network, being willing to step in to this idea of animated videos, and see what would happen!

We are excited about the results, with six animated videos produced between the 2022 and 2023 campaigns.

Not only have they been effective resources to share the message of the power of horses for mental health and well-being, they have had additional benefits of sharing the stories in ways that so many can connect themselves or their clients to, and by providing a relevant way to share the stories across cultures globally.  

One of the things we have learned in this process is that it is not easy to produce these animated videos with a quality result! Every part of the process took hours and hours of time, skill and talent, including writing and refining the scripts, creating what the images might look like, applying impactful color, flow and music, and choosing the narrators for the voiceovers. 

All of the team has been incredible with a special thank you to TJ Packer and Crew Pictures for their work on these videos!

And wow on the voiceovers! The professional skill it takes to narrate a script where the voice conveys the message and emotion, and sounds authentic, is incredible. And we especially know as we tried it ourselves at first with dismal failure :). 

During the process of creating these videos, we listened to dozens of voice actor submissions for the projects. One of the voices we landed on for our final videos is that of Anna Caputo.

Anna ended up voicing 4 out of our 6 videos as we thought she did such a great job (all the videos told in 3rd person from the view of the facilitators; two videos are told in 1st person from the view of the clients and feature different voice actors).

We are excited to share that we aren't the only ones who appreciated her skillful narration!

Anna recently received the "Best Overall Performance - E-Learning & Medical Narration (USA/Canada) Award," and she was a top 10 runner-up for the "Voiceover Newcomer of the Year (USA/Canada) Award" for her work with the Horses for Mental Health videos, presented by the One Voice Awards USA 2023!

Congratulations, Anna Caputo, for this well-deserved recognition, and thank you again to the full HMH production team for the great work!

The videos produced by Horses for Mental Health for the Seen Through Horses Campaigns in 2022 and 2023 had over 1,497,637+ impressions, with over 841,373+ views, in a total of 6 weeks time! 

This is truly incredible, and it was only accomplished thanks to the collaboration of partners, programs and individuals working together to passionately spread awareness.
